Our life together has truly been a “Grand” Story.It all began in 1978, when two high-school kids crossed paths and something simply clicked. We quickly became sweethearts—young, wide-eyed, and sure of only one thing: that being together just felt right.From there, our story gathered momentum. We went off to college together at Bowling Green State University, where new chapters unfolded almost daily. Weekends meant adventures—ski trips to Northern Michigan, camping at Mammoth Cave in Kentucky, and discovering that exploring the world was always better when we were side by side.After college, we married—41 years ago—and that’s when life really began to get interesting. Careers, challenges, joys, milestones, and miracles; each chapter shaping who we are today. Through it all, we’ve always returned to the same truth: life is richer when we walk through it together.The guests who are here with us today represent the many places we’ve traveled—geographically, emotionally, and spiritually—through our “Grand” life together. Each of you holds a piece of our story. You’ve shared moments that were joyful, funny, chaotic, and even pivotal. For that, we are deeply grateful.There’s an old saying: “Life is nothing but a series of choices.”And through every season, every challenge, and every triumph, we’ve tried to make the best choices we could—for each other, for our family, and for the life we’ve built.Today, as we renew our vows, we celebrate not just the choices we made, but the incredible journey they led us on…a journey that continues, with love at its center and the Grandest chapters still ahead.
